Official eligibility, nomination, judging, and conduct rules for the Best in Business Awards 2026.
Eligibility Requirements

Nominees must hold a leadership, executive, or senior management position within their organization.

The nominee's organization must have active business operations or demonstrable business impact internationally.
- 3
Achievements cited must have occurred within the 24 months preceding the nomination deadline.
- 4
Organizations of all sizes, from startups to multinational corporations, are eligible.
- 5
Both individuals and organizations can be nominated depending on the award category.
- 6
Nominees may be entered in multiple categories, provided distinct achievements are cited for each.
Nomination Process
- 1
All nominations must be submitted through the official BIBA website during the open nomination period (February 15 to March 31, 2026).
- 2
Self-nominations and third-party nominations are equally accepted and receive the same evaluation.
- 3
Each nomination form must be completed in full. Incomplete submissions will not proceed to evaluation.
- 4
Nominees must provide accurate, verifiable information. False or misleading claims are grounds for immediate disqualification.
- 5
There is no entry fee at any stage of the nomination or evaluation process.
- 6
Late submissions after March 31, 2026 will not be accepted under any circumstances.
Both self-nominations and third-party nominations receive identical treatment throughout the evaluation process. There is no advantage to either method.
Documentation Requirements

All nominations must include a completed nomination form with accurate nominee and organization details.
- 2
A written achievement summary of 300 to 500 words describing the specific accomplishments being recognized.
- 3
Supporting evidence such as revenue figures, growth metrics, media coverage, or third-party endorsements.
- 4
Professional biography or CV of the nominee, including current role and relevant experience.
- 5
Optional but recommended: letters of endorsement from clients, partners, or industry peers.

All documentation must be submitted in English. Translations from other languages are acceptable if certified.
Judging Rules
- 1
All verified nominations are evaluated by an invitation-only jury of senior business leaders and industry experts.
- 2
Jury members evaluate nominees independently using the published 5-factor scoring rubric.
- 3
Jury members must declare any conflicts of interest and recuse themselves from relevant evaluations.
- 4
All jury evaluations are conducted on a blind basis. Jury members do not know the identity of the nominator.
- 5
The awards secretariat aggregates scores and facilitates final deliberation for top-scoring nominees.
- 6
Jury decisions are final, subject only to the formal appeals process described below.
Ethics & Conduct
- 1
All participants, nominees, nominators, and jury members are expected to act with integrity throughout the process.
- 2
Attempting to contact, influence, or provide incentives to jury members is strictly prohibited.
- 3
Submitting nominations for individuals under active criminal investigation or international sanctions is not permitted.
- 4
Any conduct that undermines the integrity, fairness, or reputation of the awards program may result in disqualification.
- 5
The awards secretariat reserves the right to investigate any allegations of misconduct and take appropriate action.
Any attempt to contact or influence jury members will result in immediate and permanent disqualification from the current and all future BIBA award cycles.
Disqualification Grounds
- 1
Providing false, misleading, or fabricated information in any part of the nomination.
- 2
Attempting to contact, influence, or bribe jury members directly or through intermediaries.
- 3
Submitting nominations for individuals under active criminal investigation or international sanctions.
- 4
Violating any nomination rules, including submission after the published deadline.
- 5
Any conduct that undermines the integrity or reputation of the awards program.
Appeals Process
- 1
Appeals may be submitted within 7 calendar days of the official results announcement.
- 2
All appeals must be submitted in writing via the official appeals form available on the BIBA website.
- 3
Appeals are reviewed by an independent Ethics Committee that is separate from the judging jury.
- 4
The Ethics Committee will acknowledge receipt within 3 business days and provide a decision within 14 business days.
- 5
The decision of the Ethics Committee is final and binding on all parties.
